Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Summary
Mentioned above the control of this defrag goes beyond what you would expect of a free defrag. Hope this doesn't prompt them to start charging for it. There are things on my PC I don't believe need defragging all the time like my music, recorded TV, pictures and the like so I exclude them from the process and it speeds the defrag up. You can do whole folders or individual files. You can even have it move your software to the front of the disc, the fast access area so your programs work faster, the differance you click on something and it opens you don't wait for it to open.
It's just an all around great piece of software.
This is one ya gotta tell a friend about and withhold from the people ya don't like. -

Auslogic Disk Defrag is faster than any other such program I've run. As for its effectiveness, I have no way of grading its effectiveness, but I like it. I especially like the option to automatically shut down my PC as soon as it completes defragmentation.

I got this because for some reason Smart Defrag stopped working and I'm very impressed with it. It defragged my harddrive in 5 minutes and 4 seconds. I am only using 36.5 GB, but still! What more could you ask for
