Auslogics Disk Defrag is designed for fast optimization of today's modern hard disks. Get the maximum performance out of your expensive hardware investments. And it's absolutely free. Hard disks are by far the slowest component in your computer. CPU and memory work much faster than hard disks because they do not have moving parts. Therefore fragmented disks often become a bottleneck of the system performance. Besides causing slowdowns, fragmentation makes the hard drive disk heads move frequently when reading files which leads to freeze-ups and system crashes. It is important to keep your disks defragmented and optimized as much as possible.

"Version 345 has a problem with Windows XP"
Pros: Normally a great program, that I rely on heavily for daily defrags. Very fast and very efficient.
Cons: The version 345 on CNET has a minor problem with at least Windows XP Home. It skips several files and produces inconsistent counts. There is a version 350 available form the Auslogic site that fixes the problem.
Summary: Great program, but CNET is offering only a problem version 345.

Pros: Much faster than Microsoft's defragment program that ships with Windows! Has never give me a problem under XP and Vista. Have installed on dozens of machines. No worries with this one, get it!
Cons: No automatic scheduling but hey it's free
Summary: Download and run this and your PC will be faster. Try the free registry defrag from the same company, it's good too. Also recommend ccleaner. These 3 tools together can make a big difference on a sluggish machine and they are all FREEEEEEE

"WOW!!! A great addition to any computer."
Pros: Fast easy download of free defrag software that really works flawlessly on vista. Has a summary of what has been defragmented, and is a decent looking program for being free.
Cons: Not a single one. How can you really have a con for free software that works really well.

Pros: Sped up the speed of my laptop tremendously. Incredibly easy to use. They offer a free 15 day trial. Worth the download.
Cons: Nothing negative, very intuitive
