Join your hard drive fragments together into a tight bunch with this freeware. Auslogics Disk Defrag's interface couldn't be any cleaner or easier to use.
Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Novices to system administrators will love this easy-to-use hard drive defrag program.

Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.15
"No matter what I try, I always come back."
Pros: No matter what or how many defrag programs I try, Ialways come back to Auslogics Disk Defrag. I have 2 installed, this & Ashampoo magical defrag. Ashampoo to prevent fragmentation and this to do the job. Having used many other paid programs of this type without success. All I've ever gotten was a damaged system, I prefer this. It's fast, light and as efficient as any can be.
Cons: I have no cons except the window at the end telling me I have all thee junk files on my system as a ploy get me to buy Boost Speed. Which by the way, I don't care for in the new version.

Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.15
Pros: Like a few recent other free disk defragging softwares to a great degree but they don't come any faster. It does a good job, but no optimization in this guise!

Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.15
"The fastest defrag application I have ever seen, but..."
Pros: It is very fast (10 times faster than JKDefrag). It is simple to use. It has a very intuitive graphical user interface.
Cons: Auslogic Disk Defrag realizes a "space defragmentation": it means that all files are moved to initial sectors of the hard disk and in adjacent spaces. The occupied space of the hard disk is consolidated, but many files are still fragmented at the end of the defragmentation process. I think that "JKDefrag" is more efficient (although it is much slower than Auslogics Disk Defrag).
