CNET Editors' review
Join your hard drive fragments together into a tight bunch with this freeware. Auslogics Disk Defrag's interface couldn't be any cleaner or easier to use.
Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Novices to system administrators will love this easy-to-use hard drive defrag program.

"Too fast to be true?"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
The product is easy to use, and the result seems amazing.
Cons
I have my doubts about its results.
Summary
I'm always perplexed by the disagreement of different programmes measuring the fragmentation of my disks, so find it difficult to compare results, but this one does its job so quickly that I can't help wondering what it can actually achieve in the time.

"Does a good job"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
Defragments quickly and better than windows defrag
Cons
Will NOT defrag "Thumb drives", No scheduler to defrag automatically at night when computer not in use.
-
"Can't customize"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
I's Free
Cons
I can't set certain file types or access rates to be moved to the end of the disc or volume. For instance, I can't tell it to move a .doc for .txt file to the end of the disc on my OS partition thus keeping all the .EXE and .DLL files closer to the front

"OK, but it doesn't defrag the free space"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
Fast
Cons
No option to occasionally get rid of the small extents of free space. So after it runs, the next program requesting space gets lots of little exents and becomes very fragmented.
We need a way to consolidate the free space - if it had this option this utility, then it would rate 5 stars.

"Too soon to make a commant on this software"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
Let me work with this software for awhile to pass judgement at this time
Cons
Too soon to pass judgement

"Fast, Visible, No-Nonsense, Easy-to-Use"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
It's a pleasure to use software with a lot of easy to use options. The status and visiblity of the defrag process is nice too. If you don't want to see things you can use the "minimize" option (MS please note this option). And it's fast!,
Cons
After a week of use, NOTHING yet.

"Fast disk defragmenter."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
Speed is what is important to me, windows disk defragmenter takes over one hour to finish defragmenting the c drive.
Auslogics Disk Defrag can finish defragmenting the c drive, between 12 to 15 minutes depending on the size of fragmented files. Auslogics Disk Defrag has a nice interface, and shows a defragmentation report after the defragmenting is finished.

"Free, fast and fantastic!"

Fast to analyse and defragment.
Cons

"Free, fre, free and all of the sudden pay to have it to work, SAY PAY FIRST !!"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.11.267
Pros
I did not get my free15 fixes, no need.
Cons
What I don't like is that you have FREE written all over the program. You make people to download it, then to find all the problems only to thell then that to fix it you have to pay, poor performance. Why are you hiding behind that FREE FREE FREE banner?
