CNET Editors' review
Join your hard drive fragments together into a tight bunch with this freeware. Auslogics Disk Defrag's interface couldn't be any cleaner or easier to use.
Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Novices to system administrators will love this easy-to-use hard drive defrag program.

"Greatest Disk Defrag software around"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
Everything.
Cons
After the scan, it tells me I have over 300 junk files. No other programs (such as CCleaner) tell me this. When I downloaded the trial version of what it was recommending to remove the junk, it couldn't fix/remove any of them.

"Haste makes waste."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
It's quick: one star.
It defrags: one star.Cons
It's inefficient:: three stars.. down!
Summary
Yeah, I decided to give this program two stars in order to appease the fools who have no idea (hint: statistics) what the heck is going on. After all, if it finishes quickly, it's good, right? That's the reason why most people can't even past the 2000 hurdle on the SATs -- people just want to get stuff done quickly. Quite frickin' sad.
Go to any tech support forum, and every knowledgeable person will always recommend the Windows defragger. The program may be slow, but it actually works. Plus, if you're running frickin' Windows, wouldn't you want a defragger that was made specifically for the dang OS? Common sense, people, common sense.
Oh, and don't give me that, "Well, if you're like that, then stop using Firefox because it'll go against what you're preaching!" crap. I'm only talking about optimization here, not fanboy-ism. -
"Easy to use and effective. It reduced fragmentation further than Windows XP."

"Fantastic utility!"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
Showed 44% fragmentation after I had just used Windows defrag. Now shows 2% defragmentation after using Auslogics!!
Cons
Auto-update not there.

"Too quick to be true"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Cons
Advertising / Promotion / whatever.
It works too fast that makes one wonder if it really is defragging the entire drive or just a few fragments that it seems fit. I have run a couple of other defragmentation programs and found out that it doesn't really defrag much as it claims.

"Good disk defragmenter."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
Defragments very faster, maybe faster than Window's defragmenter.
Cons
I can't give it five stars since would have liked it to compact the files, removing the free spaces in between contiguous files.

"nice software"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
only used it once so far
Cons
no problems
-
"FAST!!!"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
By skipping some of the unnecessary "junk" found in the Windows-included utility, like asking to analyze the drive to be defragged then RE-analyzing it before beginning the actual defrag, Auslogics Disk Defrag is indeed much faster.
Cons
Would still like to see the BEFORE and AFTER shots.

"Works much better (& faster!) than standard Windows defrag tool."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
-
"Worked fast"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.4.10.251
Pros
It seemed to work really fast, I'm not sure how important defrag is anymore with the speed and size of hd today, but hey I'm sure it can't hurt.
