Join your hard drive fragments together into a tight bunch with this freeware. Auslogics Disk Defrag's interface couldn't be any cleaner or easier to use.
Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Novices to system administrators will love this easy-to-use hard drive defrag program.

"Much better than the Windows defrag"
Pros: Also faster and more thorough than any free defrag tool I have ever found
Cons: It is the best free, but not the best on the market. The best, IMO, is O&O defrag!

Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.1.4
Pros: Auslogics Disk Defrag is very fast and does a fine job. I have a laptop Acer Aspire 3100 and Windows defragmenter could not finish the job. It took ages so I have to stop the process. Ashampoo defragmenter could not either finish the job properly. A lot of fragmented files were still there when the program had done its job. Auslogics on the other hand was very fast and did a very good job. I analysed the defragmented files afterwards with Windows defragmenter and a very small part was still fragmented. This program is also free! I downloaded another fine program from Auslogics named Auslogics Registry Defrag. It is also free as a bird!

"Not A Big Difference That You Can Feel"
Pros: The program does degragment your system faster than the windows defragmeter. It is small in size , simple to use and easy to understand by any user.
Cons: I did not find a big improvement in my computer after defragmeting with this defragmentor. Nothing went wrong with my computer , its just that there was no difference that i could feel in any performance. However the other review i have read say that the program is much better than the windows defragmetor and does make a big difference in your computers performace. This may be the case for some computers but it was not the case for mine.

Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 1.1.4
"Far better than Windows Defrag"
Pros: The speed with which this prog defrags compared to Window's version is amazing. Testing it by running Window's one after using this one, Windows found nothing to defrag on my 2 large h/drives, both of which are partitioned into 6 drives. But doing the reverse of that, running the Windows one first, left a fair amount of my hard drives still defragmented, which could be corrected by the Auslogic one.
Cons: Nothing so far.
