CNET Editors' review
BoostSpeed is an effective all-encompassing utility suite, combining some of Auslogics' popular freeware titles such as Disk Defrag and Registry Defrag with services that they don't offer elsewhere. There's an uninstall manager, a startup manager for boot cycle customizations, RAM and browser optimizers, file shredder, DirectX diagnostic, Windows tweak manager, and several mini apps to manage Windows settings. It also comes with a rescue center that can back up any settings before you change them. No doubt, BoostSpeed gives you your money's worth, at least in terms of services provided. Upgrading also only costs $10, for those who own older versions.
Are they all worth paying for? That depends on what kind of user you are. Most, if not all, of these features are available as freeware from one vendor or another, and generally one in each category is top-notch or nearly so. Some of the lesser tools, like the tweaks manager and the security feature, didn't live up to our expectations. Tweaks focused on basic functions and wouldn't serve as a replacement for TweakUI, while the security feature merely let me know that we had up-to-date security apps installed. Still, the convenience of having all these tools located under one umbrella was hard to argue with, and even the tools that didn't impress did their jobs hitch-free.
Scan speeds for the features new to us included here were comparable with those in Disk Defrag. Users also got the convenience of optionally setting the program to run at startup and live in the system tray, making most of the program's functionality no more than a context-menu click away. The most useful tools are the Disk Defrag, the RAM optimizer, the Registry Optimizer--if you believe that "optimizing" the Registry is more than snake oil--the file shredder, and the performance monitor. The 15-day trial comes unfettered, allowing you to thoroughly judge if this is a program you want.

"Very Complete Program and An Excellent Value!"
Version: Auslogics BoostSpeed 4.1.4
Pros
Simple, straightforward interface. User can use "One Button Checkup" or pick and choose.
Cons
I'd like to see the return of Microsoft Office tweaks page used in the 2.0 series. Very clever and it worked great.
Summary
I've been using Auslogics products for several years and am more than pleased. In fact, my 4 year old Dell still runs like a scared rabbit.

"Top-notch Utility - Auslogics Rocks!"
Version: Auslogics BoostSpeed 4.1.4
Pros
BoostSpeed is the closest thing we have to a legitimate TweakVista (that actually works). Wipes page file on reboot. I'd been using Auslogics free registry and disk defrag apps for years and finally gave in to temptation and tried BoostSpeed.
When I was learning Vista, I was concerned about having anything extra during the de-bugging phase. That's pretty much over (I hope) and I was "not" disappointed with BoostSpeed. It's fast, effective, efficient and rolls up a number of tools into one neat package. Allowed me to simplify admin tasks.
Very pleased and for the price, it's well worth it. Some apps require yearly renewals. I steer clear of those and am grateful that it's a one-time fee.
It runs beautifully on Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
Cons
Nothing I don't like, but if Auslogics can pull off a TweakVista that rivals TweakUI for XP, I'll be shopping their products for a long time to come.

"Tried the rest and this is the best"
Version: Auslogics BoostSpeed 4.1.4
Pros
This program contains so many features for such a small program (4.1mb ) all the program features work perfect have not caused any problems. The registry cleaner SAFELY removed many old uninstalled program entries in the registry and also many entries that showed up in Windows firewall which i couldn't delete manually Auslogics Boostspeed fixed these no problems.Overall this is the best tuneup software program that i have used others being Tuneup Utilities and Winoptimizer both of which both have some flaws or similar features don't work aswell as this programs .Overall Auslogics does what it says on the tin and my computer has now a noticable increase in speed.
Cons
Nothing
Summary
null
Registry clean advanced settings LEAVE UNCHECKED ",clean classes active x shared dlls software and virtual devices" do not select may corrupt registry

"Best Bang for The $Buck"
Version: Auslogics BoostSpeed 4.1.4
Pros
Extremely Easy to use. Does everything you want plus more. And It's fast. Best value for your dollar, that I have seen in quite some time!!!!

"Fast, efficient, easy to use and excellent value for money."
Version: Auslogics BoostSpeed 4.1.4
Pros
I think its great all round and rank it as an essential utility. It does a variety of useful and necessary tasks with ease. It's cost is very reasonable, particularly considering that it does an 'all round' job that other programs which often cost more do only a part.
I have seen the 'successfully fixed 0 items out of (number)" that Hans mentions in his review, but after doing another of its tasks then redoing that one, the problems were no longer there.
This is one of the best utilities, and the best value for money, that I've purchased and I wish I'd known about it earlier, it would have saved me some money spent on 'half' the job utilities.
