From EZ SoftMagic :Audio Recorder Pro is useful, real-time, sound-recording software that lets you record any sound from your sound card and save the recording directly to MP3, OGG, or WAV files. It's easy to use and supports input from a microphone, streaming audio from the Internet, and audio from external input devices (CDs, LPs, audio cassettes, phone lines), as well as audio from other applications, such as Winamp and Media Player. With a built-in, advanced, audio-recording engine, the recorder produces high-quality recordings. With predefined recording qualities, you can set and manage recording parameters quickly and easily. Furthermore, the program lets you schedule your recording with a built-in audio-recording timer.
Version 3.24 is able to start auto recording and be minimized to taskbar at startup; hides the recorder directly from the taskbar icon; adds control record (start, stop, pause, restart record) from the taskbar icon; shows current record status in task bar icon.

Version: Audio Recorder Pro 3.24
Pros: Excellent level meters for each channel. Provides ability to select .wav, .mp3, and .oog formats. Ability to select different recording quality levels within each file format.
Cons: Unstable input levels. For example, when previewing an input signal, the level would peak at 50 to 55, but as soon as recording started, levels would drop to a peak of 25. Recording quality was degraded because of input level problem (and yes, I'm certain the problem was not in my line in device or cable). Could be a good program if this major bug is worked out.

"Disappointing and quickly uninstalled"
Cons: The scheduling arrangements were very clumsy. As this is what I wanted it for I was glad I had a trial version rather than having paid. I quickly removed it.
