It supports CDDB queries and submissions, WinAMP M3U and PLS playlists, audio volume normalization, audio compression manager (ACM), various MP3 encoders (like L.A.M.E, BladeEnc, and Radium MP3 codec), Windows Media Audio (WMA) V9, partial encoding, ID3v2 tag editing, and more. Version 4.1 now encodes with the new WMA9 codec which offers sound quality that's 20 percent better than the already state-of-the-art Windows Media Audio 8. In SR-1, some minor bugs were fixed.
