In spite of this program's support for multiple formats and speedy output, it's tough for us to enthusiastically endorse a conversion application with an overly restrictive demo. Though Audio Converter Express's main window is stylish, it's also quite cluttered and could intimidate newbies. The app can convert most common audio and video codecs into a number of formats, including OGG, MP3, WMA, WAV, VOX, and RAW. As you might expect, the program lets you configure the audio quality of your new files, and in some cases, you can employ VBR compression and apply high- and low-pass filters. You also get a basic built-in player. Sadly, the demo will only convert half of any given file, so you won't actually be able to put it to any real-world use without registration. As less-restrictive audio converters are readily available, we have to suggest that most users continue their searches.Publisher's description
From DanDans Digital Media :Audio Converter Express supports most of the popular audio formats, including WAV (standard PCM, compressed WAV), MPEG, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, AVI, VOX, RAW, G72x (G7.21, G7.23, G7.26), DSP, MPPlus (MPC, MP+), Apple Audio (AIF, AIFF, AIFC) and Unix Audio (AU, SUD). Most features are supported, such as the ability to convert video files into audio files directly (DivX, XviD, MPEG-4, standard AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, WMV, QuickTime files), and to add files by drag and drop. Conversion includes volume adjustment, a file browser is embedded, and file information such as MPEG ID3 tags are copied automatically. Version 3.3 improves speeds when extracting audio from video files and can support conversion to the VOX audio format.
