This simple program promises to reveal passwords hidden behind the asterisk or other characters, but its performance wasn't impressive. Though Asterisk Password Reveal's interface isn't appealing, it's fairly easy to use. To disclose passwords, simply open any login window and drag the program's prominently offered lamp icon over the password field. You'll be able to view the hidden text on the program's main window. The trial version shows only the first two letters of the password, but in our tests it frequently failed to reveal any password at all and generated errors on some test pages. Sadly, the program won't work at all if the password field is empty. Unlike comparable programs, you can't save or copy output results to any document. All said, we didn't find this program as useful as other password-recovery programs, and we recommend that users look elsewhere to uncover those forgotten, masked passwords.Publisher's description
