This strangely named program gives you just about everything you need to wipe away the traces of your Web surfing and other computer activities. We have no problems with the attractive and straightforward interface, which prominently displays buttons for all operations to the left of the large status window. Asmw Eraser Pro deletes history files, cookies, cached files, and typed URLs from Internet Explorer, Opera, and Netscape. The program also erases tracks from a variety of popular applications, such as Adobe Acrobat and Kazaa. If it doesn't natively support a third-party application, you'll find a tool for making your own plug-ins. The addition of a secure file shredder and a scheduling feature are nice touches, and the program can run in stealth mode for increased security. In our tests, Asmw Eraser Pro quickly did its job, although you should exercise caution before starting a cleaning session, since the process can't be aborted once it has begun. Happily, the program is now totally free, although you do have to fill out a form to obtain a registration code. PC users who want to surf the Web on the sly and don't want to pay for the privelege will surely benefit from this application.Publisher's description
From Asmwsoft :Remove Internet tracks and computer activities with this tool that can quickly erase your cache, cookies, history, visited URLs, typed URLs, index.dat files, password data, and temp folders. The cookie-cleaning and typed-URLs feature allows you to specify which items to keep, so you don't erase your important login cookies or URLs. It supports free plug-ins to extend cleaning features to support popular programs such as ACDSee, Acrobat, Kazaa, and ICQ2003. Additional features include a secure file shredder, scheduled cleanups, a boss key, and support for Netscape and Opera.
Asmw Eraser Pro completely implements the U.S. Department of Defense DoD 5220.22-M and NSA clearing and sanitizing standards. You can completely overwrite files with random characters, making them unrecoverable with undelete or unerase utilities. The program supports a multilanguage interface. Version 3.2.55 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Asmw Eraser Pro 3.2.55
Pros: it really erased shortcuts, traces of the things i did with my PC, including online histories and cookies...
Cons: This program causes errors on my windows explorer and internet explorer after erasing... plus it runs in the background stealth mode even if you didnt run it in stealth mode, two of them running or more... who knows what it's doing with your PC... beware

"Piece of scrap possibly a sting"
Pros: none
Cons: The program pretend to erase permanently any files or internet trace using different level of security for ereasing. With maximum setting, I was able to recover single files with a very simple undelte program. After I inform the technical support, they simply ignore me.

"I usually don't complain ,butt........"
Pros: There are NO pros.
Cons: There are NO pros. I downloaded it, tried to register it like it says, by filling out the form, and the registry key given simply stops it from working. I emailed and was given another key "iloveawmw" guess what? It didn't work at all. I contacted Asmw again, i haven't gotten a response yet. This was an obvious ploy to get info and not give you what you deserve. I had 3 other people try it and the same thing happened to them, fill out the form, enter the key you get from email, and BAM! it stops working all together! Then to give me that stupid key "iloveasmw" come on! guess what? It's in my registry and i can't get rid of it. I truly despise this, it was a complete scam, gather info, tracking garbage, and a bogus reg key! wow, can i ask for more? YES!! They should be sued for false advertisement!

Version: Asmw Eraser Pro 3.2.55
"Nice idea, very poor execution - very unstable - crashes Windows XP"
Pros: Good idea - provide an all-in-one soluttion to eliminate cache and temp files, and usage history.
Cons: Stays resident in memory, even when you dont select this option. Crashes Windows XP on every use, requiring a reboot. I would suggest less effort on "looks" and more focus on program stability.

Version: Asmw Eraser Pro 3.2.55
"IE, Opera, Netscape, Windows -- but no Firefox options"
Pros: Very uncluttered menus and graphics in program, easy checkoffs, mostly intuitive. Use bugmenot.com to avoid the required registration. The "Plugin Creator" looked like an interesting feature, but I have not yet tried it (nor am I likely to, since I don't want programs running inside my browser). Some of the other tidbits were nice too, such as the option to multi-wipe erased tracks & traces.
Cons: Unlike CCleaner [search Google], this program has no Firefox options, and since I use Firefox as my primary browser, this won't help me much. CCleaner seems to run faster & better; it has a good Cookie manager; it has options to add folders to the cleaning list; and it does have Firefox support -- so I intend to continue using it.
