Keeping your PC running like a champ requires a bit of maintenance now and again. For your money, you could do much worse than Ashampoo WinOptimizer, a clean, fast, and professional-looking application with a robust tool set.
The fastest route to optimization is from the One-Click Optimization feature, accessible from your desktop or from a tab on the program interface. The second fastest lets you run a quick or a full scan from the Overview tab. Either option starts diagnosing your system using common, customizable settings. For spot-checking or to oversee your own changes, you can click the Modules tab within the application and hand pick among the 21 included tools grouped smartly into six categories.
In addition to a laundry list of system tweaks you can manually or automatically configure, WinOptimizer backs up your registry so you can undo critical mistakes. New to version 6, it also stores a list of most-often used tools alongside some decent stats on your use of each module. Best of all, each tool in our tests ran quickly, smoothly and effectively without disrupting overall performance. Novices will appreciate the ease of use while pro users will find plenty of ways to get their hands dirty.

The program is designed to enable both novice and advanced users to cleanse and optimize their Windows system and adapt it to their own needs. Easy-to-use menus present the individual modules of Ashampoo WinOptimizer and make it possible to measure system performance, deactivate annoying autostart entries, or delete unnecessary files, all with a mouse click.

Version: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6
"So far so good, it works as advertised."
Pros: WinOptimizer cleaned my registry, defragged my hard drive and sped up my sluggish system like no other program. Other programs I've used in the passed produced similiar results, but came with negative side effects, not so with WinOptimizer.
Cons: The price is high, but I received a email discount of 55% from Ashampoo, which I plan on using, a better then 50% discount works for me!
Summary: I'm about to purchase Ashampoo WinOptimizer because it sped up my sluggish computer system without any negative side effects and Ashampoo is willing to meet me halfway by offering a 55% discount, an offer I cannot refuse.

Version: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6
"I always try to be objective when it's Ashampoo but,"
Pros: I always try to be objective when it's Ashampoo but, theres nothing here I would pay money to have. The new defrag is the best thing about it. It's retty like all newer Ashampoo products. Cleaning tools are ones you need to be careful of.
Cons: Both disk & registry cleaning modules are over aggressive to me. It's over priced when considering tuneup Utilities is the same price. This remains true even at a discounted price for their members. Not enough customizations for the desktop.
Summary: I see no real improvements over last years version & the prise is to steep for me. The deik cleaner in v5 trashed my Vista system last year so am I supposed to really trust it now? No thank you.

"Good Program well put together"
Pros: minor tweaks to the media player and system files that i have never come across before..
Cons: but those minor tweaks are not worth $50 .. come on dont be greedy there are hundreds of programs out there for free..
Summary: easy to use , becareful with the internet tweaking.
would recommended if the price was maybe 19.99 -

Version: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6
Pros: Easy interface
Cons: Price tag is a bit over the top.
Summary: Plenty of other free programs do the exact same thing.. just not worth what they're asking for. I'll stick with CCleaner and others alike.

Version: Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6
Pros: Nice interface
Cons: Some of the tweaks are of questionably value, and there are free programs that will do the same tweaks and save you $50. Tools like Spybot and CCleaner will do valuable ones like getting ride of unnecessary files and registry keys.
Summary: Don't bother.
