When you need something more powerful than the Windows' built-in uninstaller, Ashampoo UnInstaller may be the solution. The program both installs and removes software and also offers basic cleanup tools for deleting cookies, fonts, broken shortcuts, Internet Explorer add-ons, duplicate files, and empty folders.
Using the installer module to add new applications makes the most sense, as it creates a log file that will then be used by the uninstaller to remove every trace. This process could've been smoother, but it does work as advertised. You also can uninstall non-logged applications in a similar fashion to the Add/Remove Programs function included in Windows. The other modules work well but seem like afterthoughts since they have little to do with the program's core functionality, excepting the Find/Remove Empty Folders tool. The program also offers an Expert mode for additional control of various processes.
Though it's a far cry from essential, Ashampoo UnInstaller does an excellent job if you take the time to configure it. It's not the best bet for newbies, but we recommend it to power users and pros who demand ultimate control over their systems.

After a while your Windows operating system is like a back yard full of rusty bicycles, old beer cans and broken bathtubs. UnInstaller 3 removes programs from your system without a trace, allowing you to test software with confidence because you know its not going to dirty your computer. It makes this easy, monitoring the installation of new programs automatically and enabling you to remove them completely with a couple of clicks.
Version 3.11 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"How do I clean up past installed programs?"

"Improved but nowhere near the best."
Pros: Improved but all in all, my opinion hasn't changed much. Probably very good if it's installed early on a freshly formatted system.
Cons: I just can't see using this as an afterthought on an established system. To expensive even as a purchase through an Ashampoo spam email, like 60% off today only. Revo's free & in a different class altogether.
Summary: I don't care for it's install monitor. I don't like that it leaves junk registry keys behind. It's to late for this program to be useful to me as I formatted this system on 12-7-2008 & never even thought about this program at that time. I give c... read more >>

"I have used the program once andit was great"
Pros: it completely uninstalls the programs
Cons: there is nothing i do not like I love it
Summary: I like the program because it does all the uninstalling for me and I do not have to get into the registry which I would not do anyway I don't know enough about it . I highly recommend it.

"The HD Defragger alone is worth the price of the prog."
Pros: Ease of use and I am not a pro.
Cons: Explanation of program works are a good idea but could be improved using simpler details for us newbies.
Summary: Generaly I find Ashampoo products very good and reasonably priced. Of course, if one expects perfection then they are going to have a long wait.

Pros: It's very simple to use, and is superb value, combining as it does so many features
Cons: It took slightly getting used to the division between "manage", "tools" and "advanced functions".
