When you need something more powerful than the Windows' built-in uninstaller, Ashampoo UnInstaller may be the solution. The program both installs and removes software and also offers basic cleanup tools for deleting cookies, fonts, broken shortcuts, Internet Explorer add-ons, duplicate files, and empty folders.
Using the installer module to add new applications makes the most sense, as it creates a log file that will then be used by the uninstaller to remove every trace. This process could've been smoother, but it does work as advertised. You also can uninstall non-logged applications in a similar fashion to the Add/Remove Programs function included in Windows. The other modules work well but seem like afterthoughts since they have little to do with the program's core functionality, excepting the Find/Remove Empty Folders tool. The program also offers an Expert mode for additional control of various processes.
Though it's a far cry from essential, Ashampoo UnInstaller does an excellent job if you take the time to configure it. It's not the best bet for newbies, but we recommend it to power users and pros who demand ultimate control over their systems.

UnInstaller 3 removes programs from your system without a trace, allowing you to test software with confidence because you know its not going to dirty your computer. It makes this easy, monitoring the installation of new programs automatically and enabling you to remove them completely with a couple of clicks.
Version 3.10 adds Russian, Turkish, Bulgarian, and Slovenian support.

Pros: Easy to use. More than e-nuff stuff included with program ! Uninstall does get everything out !
Cons: Could use less steps for installation of non-standard Setup or Install programs.

"Really a powerful program with an easy to use design."
Pros: This is a well thought-out and user-friendly utility with many tools and cleaning mechanisms, especially like the defragmentation section...very fast! Uninstalls excellently and completely. Easy to move around in and nice graphics.
Cons: No problems as of yet...program is stable and does not interfere with other programs. Would be nice if there was a RAM optimization feature and perhaps a memory and CPU usage meter display.
Summary: Everything seems to go seamlessly. This and the Optimizer 5 program really clean and tune up the system. Wonder how good a job the registry cleaner does...would be nice to see more graphic detail of the registry process...perhaps a display of just h... read more >>

Pros: This product is simple and easy to handle. Even better than windows to remove hidden/not to open files.
