When you need something more powerful than the Windows' built-in uninstaller, Ashampoo UnInstaller may be the solution. The program both installs and removes software and also offers basic cleanup tools for deleting cookies, fonts, broken shortcuts, Internet Explorer add-ons, duplicate files, and empty folders.
Using the installer module to add new applications makes the most sense, as it creates a log file that will then be used by the uninstaller to remove every trace. This process could've been smoother, but it does work as advertised. You also can uninstall non-logged applications in a similar fashion to the Add/Remove Programs function included in Windows. The other modules work well but seem like afterthoughts since they have little to do with the program's core functionality, excepting the Find/Remove Empty Folders tool. The program also offers an Expert mode for additional control of various processes.
Though it's a far cry from essential, Ashampoo UnInstaller does an excellent job if you take the time to configure it. It's not the best bet for newbies, but we recommend it to power users and pros who demand ultimate control over their systems.
Publisher's description
From Ashampoo :One major reason for compueter sluggishness is that software is not uninstalled completely. Most application programs don't provide enough information for the Windows Add/Remove Programs tool to be able to uninstall them properly. So every time you test a program and then remove it you have a little more junk left over clogging up your computer. After a while your Windows operating system is like a back yard full of rusty bicycles, old beer cans and broken bathtubs. UnInstaller 3 removes programs from your system without a trace, allowing you to test software with confidence because you know its not going to dirty your computer. It makes this easy, monitoring the installation of new programs automatically and enabling you to remove them completely with a couple of clicks.

Version: Ashampoo UnInstaller 3.0
Pros: If your gonna take the time to post here, please tell us more then great, very good etc. How about why it's good for starters? What does it do? Does it clean up the left overs like Revo? Or, is this just another pretty app by those lovable spammers?
I'll give it 3 stars just for the re-designed GUI and for the extra tools built into it. like the internet cleaner, the drive defrag, delete empty folders, delete temp files but not for the registry cleaner. I can't trust that module, I will hand it to the marketing dept. at Ashampoo, smart folks there.
Cons: It's new nd not worth paying what the ful sale price is. Uses resources because it's install monitor runs active. I do think ,like with the last version that as long as you let it monitor your installs, it will do a good, safe job uninstalling those apps. Bu, I'd bet anything it can't kill the tuff ones like McAfee and Norton. Revo can and it's free!
