Despite an occasionally troublesome interface, Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 distinguishes itself with its enormous set of features.
You'll find all the usual media-management functions for rotating, printing, and sending images via e-mail, as well as a media player. You'll also find basic drawing tools and features for fixing red-eye, tweaking RGB values, and adjusting brightness and contrast. The highly configurable Tools section helps you search for files, convert them to other formats, rename batches of files, create and view slide shows, convert images, compress images, produce screenshots for your desktop, make photo CDs, and prepare images for Web publication.
Although the customizable interface appears chaotic at first glance, it does show nice polish, and it's simple enough to figure out after a few moments of study. All in all, Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 has a lot to offer shutterbugs and image hounds.

Version: Ashampoo Photo Commander 6
Pros: This is the best version yet I cant comment on image editing with this program but as a viewer/organizer it cant be beat. I use "Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo" to edit my image files. But it's big and clumsy as a viewer.
Cons: None at all for what I use it for.

"Comprehensive package, wide variety of functions for digital photography"
Pros: As claimed it is much more intuitive. Ability to create slideshows with sound is excellent feature. Optimiser is excellent - makes up for human $ camera failings!
Generally does a first class job.
Cons: Would like the ability to play the audio list (music) in random order.
Have not exhaustively examined all program features but it would be good to be able to use the cloning feature between two photos.

"Great improvment over version 5!"
Pros: Great program for fixing your photos. Easy to work with and at a very reasonable price. Recommended...
Cons: Not really up to par with the big name brand programs from Adobe and Corel, et all, but then the cost for them is really compared to Ashampoo Photo Commander 6
