Despite an occasionally troublesome interface, Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 distinguishes itself with its enormous set of features.
You'll find all the usual media-management functions for rotating, printing, and sending images via e-mail, as well as a media player. You'll also find basic drawing tools and features for fixing red-eye, tweaking RGB values, and adjusting brightness and contrast. The highly configurable Tools section helps you search for files, convert them to other formats, rename batches of files, create and view slide shows, convert images, compress images, produce screenshots for your desktop, make photo CDs, and prepare images for Web publication.
Although the customizable interface appears chaotic at first glance, it does show nice polish, and it's simple enough to figure out after a few moments of study. All in all, Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 has a lot to offer shutterbugs and image hounds.

"Second to the best photo management and editing app!!"
Pros: It's second to ACDSee PowerPack!! Ashampoo is a gorgeous company! They provide lots of PC necessities for a low price! Anyway, APC is a great app! Very customizable! It also has a great interface! You can burn, edit, and view pics! I haven't explored all its features because I just bought it! It's really gorgeous! Something worth spending money for! And Ashampoo doesn't give fake serial numbers like Firegraphic! And the support is great! I have both ACDSee PowerPack and Ashampoo Photo Commander in my PC! They're the best photo apps ever! Buy them now!
Cons: None at all! But adding more flare to the editing part would be a nice one!

Version: Ashampoo Photo Commander 3.01
Pros: This Image management soft can do as best as ACDSee 7! You don't have to download plugins to process batch files and optimize images unlike in ACDSee. No useless plugins that startup when opening an image file. I highly recommend it to be used in viewing image files.
Cons: In terms of browsing images, I still prefer ACDSee7 over Ashampoo Photo Commander 3. But this software is worth the download!

Version: Ashampoo Photo Commander 3.01
Pros: This is an outstanding application! It is not only a very fast photo viewer, it is a great video player as well. You can even create and burn slide shows on DVD! And dont forget to take a look at its "JPG Optimizer" and "JPG Rotater".
Cons: Nothing important, except that the help file should be improved.

Cons: the explorer tend to freeze if there are a lot of media files.
