Despite an occasionally troublesome interface, Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 distinguishes itself with its enormous set of features.

You'll find all the usual media-management functions for rotating, printing, and sending images via e-mail, as well as a media player. You'll also find basic drawing tools and features for fixing red-eye, tweaking RGB values, and adjusting brightness and contrast. The highly configurable Tools section helps you search for files, convert them to other formats, rename batches of files, create and view slide shows, convert images, compress images, produce screenshots for your desktop, make photo CDs, and prepare images for Web publication.

Although the customizable interface appears chaotic at first glance, it does show nice polish, and it's simple enough to figure out after a few moments of study. All in all, Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 has a lot to offer shutterbugs and image hounds.

Ashampoo Photo Commander is packed with functions for organizing, enhancing, editing, and archiving your digital-photo collection. Choose your best shots and burn them directly to a CD or DVD as an animated slide show or upload them to your home page as an interactive photo album. And of course you can rotate, tilt, flip, resize, and print your images and send them to friends and acquaintances by e-mail--all from within the program. You also can create animated images, apply borders, take snapshots of your computer screen, and use conversion functions.

Version 3.5 features: Extract Curret Frame functionality for most video and animated files; New MouseTool: Red Eye Remove; MouseTool: Selection has been redone; Selection keeps now position when scrolling/zooming and is easier to use; FileDate Tool for easily changing the filedate/time. Can be used to set EXIF Date to file date.
