A single mouse click of the mouse is all that's needed to begin an onslaught of cleaning--deep within the heart of the PC. In spite of its complicated work, Ashampoo Magical Optimizer is especially easy to use. In only a few minutes time, Ashampoo Magical Optimizer removes stagnant and unnecessary files from the hard drive, deletes Internet tracks (thereby insuring privacy), and the registry is streamlined by erasing invalid and orphaned entries. Best of all, optimization can be tailored to the preference of every user. Version 1.2 supports Vista, 64-bit systems; adds new localizations.

There's no magic in this flawed system cleaning tool except for the way it makes files disappear before your eyes. Ashampoo Magical Optimizer's very basic interface contains quick buttons to the program's options. Users can choose either the Automatic Optimization or the slightly safer Manual Optimization.
There are dozens of programs that clean the Windows Registry, browser cache folders, and system temp folders. Before deleting files, the best will back up the Registry first and allow you to select which files you want to delete. Ashampoo Magical Optimizer offers neither of those options. The Automatic Optimization flies through your system deleting files it deems no longer needed. Unfortunately, users are given no opportunity to deselect items before they're deleted. The manual method offers slightly more user control over the process. Instead of running all three optimizers one after another, you select which cleaner to implement. The program still identifies and deletes files without user interaction.
A secondary program allows users to schedule the primary program to automatically optimize all three areas. The short 10-day demo program offers a simple all-in-one cleaning approach that may be enticing to the novice, but all users should be extra careful using a program with so few safety features.

Cons: With software like this "ashampoo" is destroying the good reputation of some other "ashampoo" software. It seems as if some people at "ashampoo" are only in for the quick money...

Pros: Can't think of any Pros...
Cons: Does NOT backup files before altering them, and does NOT preview files to be deleted. Once you push the button..pray. Silly and dangerous program. Use at your own risk. Ashampoo should be embarassed about this program.

Cons: Je suis assez déçu de mon achat.
En laissant le programme par défaut il arrive même à supprimer quelques programmes installés. Il faut impérativement contrôler ce fait [Préférences/Disques Durs/Exceptions/Ajouter dossier "C:\Program Files"], ce qui est pénible, c'est qu'il faut le faire à chaque fois car le logiciel ne le garde pas en mémoire. Par ailleurs le TaskPlaner ne fonctionne pas sous Vista Home Premium.
