Pros: Easy to Use and has an endless amount of variety and template customizations.
Cons: Sometimes it hangs up with an error message, especially when customizing my header, but it saves regularly so if it hangs and you restart it will have it there. But be sure to save regularly anyway.
Summary: One of the biggest bothers when designing websites was the tedious work of mocking up all of the borders, spacing, buttons, etc. that I would use for a client's joomla or wordpress site. But with this, I can use Artisteer as a starting board for a ... read more >>

"Not one single line of coding necessary. So easy to use"
Pros: This is the first time I've ever used a theme generator and I was completely blown away by how easy it was to create beautiful themes. Just click on a layout, column, block and button styles to design your own or use the suggestion tool. Awesome!
Cons: Needs more than 15 background overlays. Needs a eye dropper color picker and a better fill color selector, one with chips.

"A true revolution in webdesign software"
Pros: It has never been so easy to create professional looking websites and cms themes in literally seconds! Click on the "Suggest" buttons until you're content with the basic layout, and then finetune to your needs. Every detail is editable - if you like.
Cons: Forum support isn't yet at it's best.

"Custom templated Joomla sites in just a few minutes"
Pros: Joomla is a complex program and Artisteer makes it extraordinarily simple to create a personalized template you can load into Joomla.
You can make dozens of sites in less than a half hour.
Comes with artwork and photos.
Choose colors and fonts.Cons: You can't load existing templates into it to modify (but why would you expect it to do that?).
It creates so many varieties that it is hard to pick one and you keep thinking the next one might be something you would like more. Not a problem.Summary: Here is how it works: you click a button and it generates a Joomla template. Click over and over until you get a site look and feel you like. Then you can modify it. Easy!
