From Fundictive :Army of Earth is an online action/strategy team combat game, allowing hundreds of players and up to 6 teams to play together in an open, outdoor 3D environment. It is easy to learn and use, but true mastery will require both strategic and leadership skills. Gameplay is drop-in/drop-out, with built-in matchmaking and leaderboards. Graphics and bandwidth requirements are low, and the download is small due to the procedural maps, which never repeat.

Version: Army of Earth 0.518
Pros: This game is very easy to jump straight into, after only a few minutes of playing you are fully aware of the basic gameplay requirements and therefore can begin to develope your own ideologies.
Furthermore the controls take mere minutes to become reflects rather than reactions.
The very fact that victory is very reliant on team coordination makes this game great for anyone who rates teamplay over self reliance in their gaming endevours.
Cons: The true weakness of this game is the lack of graphical detail but in exchange for this the download is very small and the gameplay very fast.

Version: Army of Earth 0.518
"Team Robot + Base Assault Blastiness = good times"
Pros: Army of Earth is a very solid indie release, in beta at the time of this review. The basic concept is teams of players controlling individual robots in a FPS/RTT environment, attacking each other's bases and trying to blow it all to pieces.
The maps are generated by the game so the terrain always has some new wrinkle to it. The robots and bases have a lo-fi, kind of Flash Gordon graphics aesthetic to them (though personally I like this style, I know it's not for everybody), but on the other hand this game runs very, very well on my laptop, which hardly is a gaming powerhouse.
The multiplayer possibilities for this game have a lot of potential, but there also are AI controlled robots for you to fight against if there aren't any live opponents. It looks like the dev will be releasing the server for this game as well, so you could set up your own playground.
All in all this is a fun, pickup game with a good combination of that good old FPS adrenaline rush and RTT decision-making.
