Argus Surveillance DVR was designed as an universal application for security hybrid platforms working in the same time with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. Argus Surveillance DVR has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and remote computers. Users have full control of the program through network that surveillance computer can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on remote computer through Web interface.
Argus Surveillance DVR performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by sensor event. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected. Version 3.4 supports ABS MegaCam IP camera.
What's new in this version: Version 3.3 adds new feature: search in recorded content by motion.

Ok , To sum this up and pass the web BULL This product dose not work on Firefox for every time you do a search for this exact "Argus Surveillance Software" + " Firefox problem?" just to find a fix on the web for "firefox no load problem"(tcp commands work but no images) just a lame advertisment to remind you all the security option for you to disable in I.E to make it easyer to SPY ON YOU. The nazzi goverment limits the search for there nazzi Internet "spy on you" Explorer they want you to uses NOT firefox for thus less restriction for the them or they to watch you on your oun system .!!! dose not work on web http:localhost or I.P
If you dont mind the runaround trying to fix problems with either your account or trying,,and I mean TRYING to contact someone to get an answer, which you will not get after 23 emails and no response, then the product is actually a great and usefull item. My main problem is with the inability to get a direct answer from anyone. Calling the main phone number, located in Canada, it seems they dont have any inclination of any resellers, nor do they have any knowledge of purchases. Dont even try to contact a reseller of this product. At least that is the information I got when I called the parent company. They will not help you because there is no communication of purchases and serial numbers between each other.

Summary
The interface is garish. Is it to much to ask for applications to stick with nice professional looking basic gray buttons? It looks like it was designed for elementary school kids on 1980's computer system.
It's also clearly not worth the $89 asking price ($20-$25 would be reasonable). -

I have had this software for years, I created a forum for users to help each other, look in Yahoo groups as argus surveillance. I added camera model files I created.

support is limited to the software and not much help is given to compatability with other cameras.. support by email only.

NONE. So easy to set up you dont need tech support. Automatically resets cameras that trip offline. Just a great worry-free solution.
Summary
I was at the end of my rope looking for a multi-camera surveillance software solution when I came across this great product. Others crash and glitch to the point that I was about to scrap the project, then I found this gem. Install is easy. Setup intuitive. Daily operation just works... There just isnt any more to say...

Locks up a lot took forever to convert more than 30 minutes of video from a proprietary format to any standard format or DVD. I have a Intel i7 system with 6GB of RAM. Never had problems with converting videos of any type before

I had purchased 2 licenses through there website. Got an invoice in an email saying that I had bought 2 four camera systems. They only sent one key, so I activated and registered the first key, then the second.I It then told me that that key was already registered and de- registered the first DVR I had setup. Tried to contact support through support ticket system with no response. Emailed through 4 different email accounts without ever getting a single response. Searched the net for a contact phone number with no luck, other than they are based out of Canada.
I had lucky purchased this on a Credit Card and disputed it and got my money back and shortly later the key that was working was de-activated.
Save yourself a headache and find some better DVR recording software for your security needs. I had liked the demo and wanted to use this for some smaller clients... will never recommend or deal with Pysoft ever again! -

Great at what it claims to do. Very detailed operation and you can set each camera with an great deal of variables. Records great, allows remote access with security. Really good product.

I purchased this software, had a system meltdown.The company had no records of my transaction and refused to help me locate my serial number to remove the DEMO logo. Basic english..Customer service sucks.
