From InfoProcess:AntiHook is a real-time Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) system that dynamically protects users from malicious software such as unseen viruses, Spyware, Rootkits, Keyloggers, Code Injection, and Trojans. AntiHook detects and prevents attacks in real-time. AntiHook can operate as a standalone module, relying on its local database only and not requiring an update of data definitions. AntiHook ensures the integrity of the operating system by blocking and reporting any suspicious activity, including the following: Launching of malicious applications and processes, Termination of critical security applications (e.g. Firewall, Anti-Virus), Loading of suspicious DLLs (e.g. BHOs, ActiveX), Malware modifying the memory space of an external application and executing malicious code, Kernel Rootkits that maliciously alter the Windows operating system, Registration of programs for loading on PC start-up or when the user logs on to the system, Malicious System-wide Windows hooks.
Version 2.5 build 12 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Pros: I would not get this.
Cons: It Crashed my computer. Antihook and process guard. i had to use winpatrol to terminate it. i had to uninstall this and take it out of the registry to remove it fully. this program is not worth free even. i would not mess with a program like this.

"The best real-time protection available"
Pros: This program works in the background and stops any malicious activity in real time. Love it! I highly recommend it.

"Good Host Intrusion Prevention system"
Pros: Good first line of defense against attacks. Works fine for me, for over a year. I use FireFox for a browser and Thunderbird for mail; never have I had a conflict. Also,running TuneUp utilities and CCleaner for house cleaning and tidying up loose gargage.

Pros: Its a root level .exe and .dll monitor. It prevents code injection and prompts you everytime a new .exe / .dll wishes to load.
I personnally use it because I have found no HIPS freeware replacement.
Cons: It is a name based prevention program. For example it leaks if you use the same name for two different programs / .dll's. To prove this permit IE to load, then take another program, (leaktest for example) and name it iexplorer.exe and it will allow it to load.

"The best Host Intrusion Prevention system on the market"
Pros: An outstanding application that loads itself as a kernel driver and provides the users with a nice user interface to interact with. AntiHook gives a very comprehensive set of details as to what is going on the user's machine. It can be also trained to isolate malicious activity happening on your system and prevent future problems. I'm looking forward to seeing what these guys will give us with the upcoming version!
