Although getting out of the gate is challenging, this application dishes up a healthy portion of anonymity and security tools. Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing requires an immense 31MB to download and uses three separate installers for each component. You also must create a user account complete with a password and an e-mail address. While getting started takes a lot, using it is a breeze. The program instantly protects your system against known spyware and can scan your hard drive for existing spyware, but removal isn't available in this version. From its stylish interface you can enlist antiphishing and pharming monitors, and it uses 128-bit encryption methods to secure your data as it is transferred online. You also can surf the Web anonymously by masking your IP address with Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing. Although you won't be able to manage the proxies, this software quickly grabs and enlists a proxy address upon command. Anyone leery of online spies can feel safe and secure using this vigorous tool.Publisher's description

Version: Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing 6.1
"Room for improvement but potentially very useful."
Pros: It works quite well for most of the time & offers several useful options when it comes across a (potentially) dodgy site. As expected, there is a slight delay when surfing, but sometimes it seems a little too long.
Cons: A bit of a pig to set up, takes a long time to start up & does not always work as it should.
It seemed to fight with my "Ashampoo FireWall Pro" resulting in many crashes, I cannot aportion blame for this problem but think it is worth pointing out to potential buyers of both programs.

"PROXIES DON'T WORK! IP NOT CHANGED!"
Cons: The site I was browsing could easily determine my IP while using this program. Program can't distinguish between live and dead proxies. Slows down everything!

Version: Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing 6.1
"do not install this pice of cr*p Minus 1 stars"
Pros: there is nothing to like about this garbage
Cons: this is a piece of trash that will destroy your system. The program doesn't even come with an un-installer. You have to manually delete all files and shortcuts created by the as*h**es at Anonymizer company.

Version: Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing 6.1
"Can't Change IP Displayed to Websites"
Pros: Easy to set up and use. A full-featured week-long trial offered. Only minor slow down in accessing web sites.
Cons: Does not let you change IP address being shown on demand. You are stuck with the IP address they assign for at least a day (and then it looks like you have to shut down for a while to get a new IP).
