Good with IE
Only works with IE
I must search another ....
I work with this program years ago. It was simple and one of the best with a black list you can control.
Now, it can detect all open windows popup, so you can mark them to close.
I try with IE9, FF and Chrome.
Useless. I'm searching for a program like this.
Blocks most popups
Easy to add popups to block
Only works with Internet Explorer
I have used this popup blocker since 1999 or 2000, and have liked how this program blocks most popups. There are some popups that have been programmed to not respond to popup blockers, and those popups irritate me. My only gripe with the program is that it doesn't work with Google Gnome or Firefox. The programmer so far has not been willing to create support for non Internet Explorer browsers, and not sure if the programmer has any intention to do so. I hope there will be support in the future, as I like this program. I don't like the built in popup blocker in Firefox or Internet Explorer. Their blockers don't allow individual popups to be blocked.
I might need more ram. my newer pc's can handle it fine. Not all PCs run well or run the same and it matters a great deal hoew you take care of it. could be a self problem or theirs..... who knows? but I'll keep it for the newer pcs
Installed and uninstalled lightning fast.
AnalogX Pow DOES NOT BLOCK POPUPS. It waits for the popups to open, then it closes them. You have to wait a couple of beats while it does it. And it won't even do THAT much until you TELL it to. You must manually select EVERY popup to eliminate. AVOID THIS SOFTWARE.

You are confusing what this app means by "Popups." You can use your browser's popup blocker to handle unwanted ads and automatic popups generated by web sites you have opened. What this does is close sites you unknowingly choose to open by clicking on a link, but in the past have found it to be undesireable because it contains viruses, etc; so you ask POW to close it whenever you cause it to open in the future. Thus, such sites have to open before POW recognises it as one you have told it to close.
This is SO easy to use and extremely effective. It places an icon in the desktop tray, click on it and choose Add/Delete Pop Up, a screen pops us showing all your open windows and you double-click on the one you want to remove - - and that's it FOREVER!! I've had this product for a year and it's the best thing going.
There is nothing to dislike.
A definite recommend! Any free program is naturally an attractive one - especially if it works! Now there's tons of popups out there on the net and I've been able to stop the ones I've usually had trouble with...
But - that's not ALL POPUPS. I just recently found a really cool toolbar that has a ton on online scans of every kind - including popup tests!
I intend to put that toolbar to some use by going to those tests sites to see if this popup blocker can take it or not... In the meantime, I do like it for what it was able to do for my own personal needs.

Which toolbar are you referring to? I'm interested in checking it out.
I can add a website to block and it will certainly block it but that doesn't stop the pop up appearing in the future. When it does I have to click on the pop up which then loads the offending website. Only then is the website's window bashed off by POW. What is the point? It is easier just to click on the little cross at the top left of the pop up to get rid of it. To me this program seems completely useless.
I didn’t notice any change in popup influx on my computer after I setup this program. it seems all the popups kept appearing on the screen as usually
