Version: Altova XMLSpy Enterprise Edition 2005r3
"Too many bugs with schema validation"
Pros: Look, it's better than anything else, but if Altova claims the leadership they could get these nasty bugs fixed ages ago.
This app is good for medium complexity schemas.
Cons: Keeps crashing on my PC when the previous version worked relatively stable. Can't put my fingers on the reason, but it looks like if you have a few some complex schemas open it just too much for the app to handle.
An old time validation problems with anyAttribute namespace=##other processContent=lax - it just doesn't bother to validate anything. This is really annoying.
If an attribute has a fixed value it may stop recognising it if the schema is imported.
They changed some validation error messages to less informative ones. Just don't understand why.
Not all elements are suggested in the prompts in grid view when building an instance XML document. The elements are clearly there and if typed in correctly it validates OK.
