Sometimes you just want a simple photo editor that doesn't require a degree in graphic design to operate. Altarsoft Photo Editor is just such a program. Its commands are a bit spotty and the Help file is lacking, but it proved to be a capable photo-editing program for the novice user.
The program's user interface looks like a stripped-down version of big graphics software like Adobe's Photoshop, with menu options and shortcuts along the top of the window and tool commands running down the left side. Floating palettes for previewing changes, adjusting colors, and managing layers can be positioned to wherever is most convenient. We started by opening a JPEG file and jumping immediately into the program, manipulating the image's brightness, hue, and saturation. The preview palette reflected all of the changes before they were finalized. The program allows you to save images as TIFF, JPEG, GIF, and PDF files very easily. Each tool command performed its designated function; some of them weren't as precise as those found in the more expensive programs but will please novice users nonetheless. The one exception was the Text command: rather than placing text on our image, the command placed a gray box layer over it and wouldn't allow us to type any text, which was frustrating. An index-style Help feature is included, but it did little to troubleshoot any of the issues that we had with the program.
Altarsoft Photo Editor is free. It installs and uninstalls without any issues. We recommend it for anyone new to photo-editing software.

This program is simple in use, but here stop the good thinks.

It has no working Functions (likeTEXT), no shadow, You can only turn the object you on in prefixed degrees (90?? or 180 or 360?). Gradient is peculiar as you can not choose colour. The HELP function has no instructions for the use of program...
