While it won't win any design accolades, this reference-based application is home to many useful facts and links on the topic of allergies. Sporting only a few command buttons, Allergy Info Finder's bland-looking dual-pane interface is at least very easy to use. The left side provides quick access to the Table of Contents, a Program Search tool, and Internet Search feature. The information comes from physicians, allergy and health specialists, editors of health news, and related experts. The contents include definitions of different types of allergies and their treatment and prevention. This isn't a drug-company based database, as the program includes natural remedies, hygiene tips, and dietary guidelines. Links to author's Web sites and reference books are provided; however, some links were unavailable during testing. The program attempts to stay timely with its handy interface for Internet searches. A simple Print function makes it easy to read information offline. Anyone seeking information about allergies will find this freeware program beneficial.
