This medication-scheduling program works well as a database yet could be better designed. MedSched allows you to enter prescription information to set up a schedule to ensure you're taking the proper dosage at the right time. The program downloads and installs without a hitch. Once launched, MedSched asks you to enter information in basic information fields, one medication at a time. Choose from the drop-down menu of preprogrammed pill names, or add your own, then add frequency and dosage. The interface is basic and while easy to understand, it's not easy to scroll through schedules once you've created them. You can't scroll down the schedule with a mouse button, and for some reason, there's no scroll bar. While MedSched allows you to save or print out schedules and information, we would have liked to see a reminder system, or even a convenient alarm that alerts you of your next pill. The trial version of this program is limited to a three-medication schedule, which should be sufficient to determine whether this program is right for you. Overall, MedSched is a handy medication database but you'll need to stay on top of it to make sure you're on schedule.

MedSched can take your list of medications and print (or save) an easy-to-follow Medication Schedule showing you exactly what to take and when. This is ideal for the elderly and for those who take numerous medications as well as for those who change them often. Medsched not only handles constant doses (such as twice every day at 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.) but also increasing, decreasing, and alternating doses. It can add notes to your schedule for individual days of the week. In addition, you can print a complete list of the medications you are taking to show a doctor or pharmacist.
