Though this privacy-protection application lacks one feature we like to see, it excels on all other fronts. AllTracksGone Window Washer Computer Privacy Cop's good-looking main window organizes all cleaning chores into tabs for easy navigation and access. Whether you use Internet Explorer, AOL, Firefox, Opera, or Netscape, this program can zap your surfing history by eliminating such evidence as cookies, typed URLs, and temporary files. Chat fiends will appreciate the tab form wiping away tracks from AIM, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, and MSN Messenger, and although the program can overwrite data by using one of several secure, government-sanctioned algorithims, it won't let you use it to shred files and documents. However, since this utility can wipe traces from nearly 100 third-party apps from Acrobat to ZoneAlarm, we can easily forgive it. AllTracksGone Window Washer Computer Privacy Cop also masks your PC-usage history by clearing out certain areas of your PC's Windows system, and it includes a scheduler. We also really like the Boss Key feature, which enables you to quickly erase all selected pieces of evidence with the touch of a hot key. In the final analysis, anyone looking for a feature-rich, comprehensive set of privacy tools should put this one near the top of his or her list.
