Version: All Media Fixer 7.3
"Too bad there's not a "ZERO" stars rating option"
Pros: It's a small download and includes an uninstall function. Those are the only two good features of this program.
Cons: Well, let's start with the name. I don't like it. "NO Media Fixer" would be much better, and extremely more accurate. The English statements used in the program are not only not standard English, but often not even understandable. It gets extremely cloying watching the hair and skin colors of the anime-styled children drawings change after, oh, the first 8 seconds or so. The same is true for the constantly changing 30-or-so digit display. The program takes an inordinately long time to run. Once it's "done" "fixing" the file, the sound it plays is quite irritating. The files that it claims to have fixed are not only not fixed, they are most often completely unchanged. You have to exit the program with three different clicks before it will close.
Goofball that I sometimes have been known to be, I've downloaded and tried several different versions and builds of this program, which claims to fix up to 98% of media files. I've tried it on AVI, MPG, MP3, MP4, M4A, MOV, WMA, and probably a few types I've forgotten. The success rate here is precisely 0%. It has not only not "fixed" any files, but as I mentioned earlier, a comparison of the "before" and "after" files most often shows no change at all. Does this program actually DO anything, other than take up space and time and a little bit of download bandwidth? If so, I'd love to know WHAT. Save yourself time and trouble and bypass this little doozy.
