From COR Entertainment :Alien Arena 2008 is a multiplayer online deathmatch game based on the GPL id source code. This game features incredibly smooth and fast game play with next-generation engine features such as shaders, real-time per-pixel and per-vertex lighting and shadows, lensflares, light bloom, weather, and GLSL shader effects. The game includes over 40 levels, nine weapons (with alt-fire modes), five player characters, mutaters, six game play modes, and an in-game server browser. With modes like Team Core Assault, Cattle Prod, Duel, Deathball, Capture the Flag, and All Out Assault, Alien Arena has an endless replayability factor. Version 7.21 includes new maps, new models, new textures, and major engine enhancements.

"The linux version is as great as it can get!"
Pros: Faster loading times, smoother than the windows version...
Cons: you must have the GPU's prop driver first
Summary: It is a lot faster in ubuntu linux intrepid ibex than in windows... the graphics are the same... just smoother especially for laptops and mid-to low end computers...

Pros: This game draws you in, with addictive gameplay, fun and nuanced weapons, always finds a way to make me laugh, I almost wish I payed 50 bucks for it..
Cons: I hope more people catch on, and blow the servers up.

"Good graphics, smooth fun game play, worth downloading"
Pros: Alien Arena works well every time, has superb graphics even on the lowest settings, no bugs that I could see. The game play is great, very easy to navigate and shoot even with a touchpad, playable for hours on end. Free!
Cons: I haven't found any problems with it yet
