This program does a fine job of helping you organize your music collection and boasts some added features we found useful. AlbumPlayer features a very intuitive and attractive interface. Upon launch, the application asks you to select a drive from which information will be taken for the database. The most extensive and configurable part of the program is the organization of the catalog itself. The application's options include Build Album CD, Print Album CD, and Create HTML Index. You can manually enter album information or have the program download it from the Internet. The latest version has a feature for pulling cover art from Amazon.com, but it's currently a bit wonky (it won't always replace existing cover art, so you may have to clear your image before downloading a new one from Amazon.com). Collections can be sorted by artist name, album title, track list, and date of addition. The most interesting option is the ability to create an HTML index with your CD database, but only more serious music collectors who post information like that to a Web site will find this useful. We like the option to change skins, as well as configuration options that give the program a whole new look. Overall, we think AlbumPlayer will be quite useful for people with large music collections.Publisher's description
From Albumon :Organize full albums and play them with AlbumPlayer, just by browsing your covers. The browser makes it possible to group and sort, based on album attributes available from All Music Guide, and to do a search on album, artist, or track. Create album-based or track-based playlists, or create MP3 CDs with an HTML index. Print album covers and add albums simply by disk scanning. Song titles and covers are automatically grabbed from the All Music Guide or from freedb. A caching mechanism makes it possible to store all your albums on CD but keeps your most frequently played albums on your hard drive. A skin editor is included.
Version 4.0d now supports EvilLyrics. The lyrics for each playing song are shown automatically when EvilLyrics is on the computer.
