From Fookes Software :Aid4Mail is a user-friendly tool that allows you to: migrate e-mail messages to a different mail client; export them for viewing through Internet Explorer, MS Excel, or a database; convert them to extract or re-insert attachments; archive them for protection against data loss, to save space, and for compliance with legal requirements. Aid4Mail supports more than 20 mail clients and mailbox formats, including MS Outlook, and processes all messages without losing any information, including those with file attachments and embedded contents like pictures and background images. You can also extract names and e-mail addresses of people that have been corresponding with you; this feature is helpful if you need to rebuild an address book or create a mailing list.
Version 1.86 adds new conversion options and features minor bug fixes.

Version: Aid4Mail 1.86
"Good at extracting and processing small to medium volumes of email"
Pros: Extracts email and metadata, extracts attachments and embedded files. Data and files can be imported to a database. Has a good range of supported file types.
Cons: The software sometimes falls over when working with large data sets, e.g. 20,000 email in a single Windows directory. I had to process in batches, but that worked OK.

Version: Aid4Mail 1.86
"Deceptive conduct in registration"
Cons: Beware of this program! If you get the standard single registration, it uncripples as described but then adds new cripples - ie it greatly reduces the number of formats it exports to.
It's all designed so you smoothly go and in and pay twice. This message comes with the confirmation mail:
