This firewall offers the rare combination of a powerful feature set and an easy-to-use design. During installation, the program finds all network-enabled applications on your PC and lets you set security policies for each. This eliminates the endless pop-up boxes you get with many firewalls, wherein you must allow or disallow certain processes from accessing your machine. We appreciate the ability to fine-tune all aspects of network usage using rules, and the easy-to-analyze logs are another big plus. In our tests, the firewall demonstrated good performance, successfully blocking several Trojan horses from our PC. Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro also enhances your Web-surfing experience by blocking pop-ups, Flash ads, and banners, as well as potentially dangerous elements on pages. Persons looking for a robust yet low-maintenance firewall should take a close look at Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro.Publisher's description
From Agnitum :Powerful combination of firewall and antispyware to address latest Internet security problems. Agnitum's Outpost PRO protects you from hackers, malware, ID thefts, unwelcome connections. It starts protecting the host system immediately after it's installed. The program detects and blocks hacker attacks, guards the privacy of data stored on your computer, monitors network activity of your system and applications, provides clean web surfing and prevents malware from activating on your computer. Outpost places your computer in a stealth mode, making it invisible to hackers so that they cannot verify your machine is present on a network and subsequently launch attacks on it. In addition, the program allows the removal of annoying pop-up windows and prevents websites from tracking where you surf. To ensure that you have the latest protection in place, Outpost Firewall PRO is regularly updated via its dedicated update service. Version 3.5.641.458: ImproveNet service to automatically download new rulesets; integration of antispyware plugin with firewall network monitor; ability to use exclusions in logging.

Pros: I had use leaktest for this, result is it was unable to connect, which means outpost past the leaking test! Wow! I love this stuff, it makes me safe for websurfing and safe for leaving my pc on for 24/7, also at the time while i was away from my pc. Thanks alot!
If you're not an advanced pc users, can set it to "Rules Wizard Policy" mode. For an advanced users of course set it to "Block Most" mode, this stuff is cool if you really know how to use it, trust me!! And Thanks alot Outpost, you rocks!!

"Better protection then Zonealarm Pro..."
Pros: The Argitum outpost firewall provides a better internet protection then zonealarm, passing more leaktests then Zonealarm,
and a spyware scanner of sorts.
Cons: though it placed second in tests, when I tried out this firewall for myself I found the interface wanting... and though it will alert you to changes in system activity, but it doesn't detail how to deal with these very well, leaving me kinda doubtful. If i would have to choose between Zonealarm pro, and Argitum, i would still pick Zonealarm, the ease of use interface of Zonealarm will prevent you from becoming your own worst enemy. Still, if you don't like Zonealarm, this is a very appealing alternitive. but if your a big techie, just go with Jetico(placing 1st in tests)

"Slow, System Hog, Slow, Slow and annoying"
Pros: Good protection, but not far off from any other firewall nowadays. Too much resourcse hogging. A firewall is a firewall for me, this is just annoying.
Cons: Resource hog, bad interface, boots up slow, very annoying, want to configure everything. I'm an AVG plus firewall fan. Light on resources, good firewall, passed tests, loads fast, no problems yet!

"This is best-stop the hacks on your puter!"
Pros: For a reason i dont know this is only fire wall i could get workin rite on my puter-a little hard to understand-i know i'm a dummy-maybe this one is better than the others cause it works-notifies me of the spies and hacks attempts-i recomend it
Cons: like i said I'm a dummy so it took a while for me to figure it-no problems

"Good firewall, only not a great blocker"
Pros: The program looks solid and good. In fact the results are good, but not great.
