This firewall offers the rare combination of a powerful feature set and an easy-to-use design. During installation, the program finds all network-enabled applications on your PC and lets you set security policies for each. This eliminates the endless pop-up boxes you get with many firewalls, wherein you must allow or disallow certain processes from accessing your machine. We appreciate the ability to fine-tune all aspects of network usage using rules, and the easy-to-analyze logs are another big plus. In our tests, the firewall demonstrated good performance, successfully blocking several Trojan horses from our PC. Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro also enhances your Web-surfing experience by blocking pop-ups, Flash ads, and banners, as well as potentially dangerous elements on pages. "Highest Number of feature's and Rock solid defence"
Pros: 1. very high number of feature's. Best of all you can control which site a software can communicate with.
2. The anti-spyware moniters your host files and registry entry. It also moniters registry entries that almost all anti-spyware miss out on. It does not give lot of customization for the anti spyware but i think future versions will have this feature.
3. Rock Solid DEFENCE will block almost any attack and also give you control of which attacks to block. No matter how many attacks happen at a single point of time it will not crash at all.
4. Excellent support.
5. I have used sygate but I prefer Agnitum over it almost anytime. Anyway AFAIK sygate is bought by Symantec (Norton) !!
Cons: This is not a **DOWNER** but only for those who are new to computers and all those who are not good at configuring a firewall may face a *BIT* of problem at the very initial stage for few applications (like IM's)

Pros: I love how it can track what is using your internet connection in real time. Unlike many others where they just run and you don't get to see much else, this takes you into see it working, like you're opening the hood of a car engine running.
Cons: It is an advanced firewall, even though it can do the job of protecting your pc - would probably suit more advanced users more than novices

Pros: Good bye MacAfee and i hate Symantec. Finally a good firewall now my computer start 75% faster and right after I uninstall MacAfee this program found 4 spyware

"Performed well but DID fail once"
Pros: report almost anything that's happening in realtime and it also come with additional features such as ad blocking, content blocking, mail blocking and some more features that you'll find usefull.
blocked so much intrusion attempt while im online and yeah, you can try all its features during trial period and i quite satisfied with it.
Cons: can be disabled easily by malware(try killing it's main process ~outpost.exe) and volla, you're wide open to attacks.
i've experienced this with older version(2.7) probably because it's my fault for turning my AV off & forgot to turn it on after cd-burning session. that made me spent about 3 hours finding and remove the culprit. not sure about version 3 though
