Pros: Has some good qualities.
Cons: even running a quick scan took almost 15 minutes and produced disappointing results

"Adware Spy "finds" non-existent Registry Entries"
Cons: I just performed a scan using 4 different anti ad/spyware programs with the latest updates. Ad-Aware SE professional, XoftSpy and Spybot Search & Destroy found nothing. Adware Spy 3.0 found 3 registry entries. I found it a bit wierd that neither of the others found these entries so I checked my registry for these entries. 2 of them do not exist, the other have the file name {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} which to me sounds like a bogus name. My conclusion is that Adware Spy pretends! to find threats in order to make you believe that it does something good.
I do not trust a product that INVENTS threats and strongly recommend others to stay away from this product.

Pros: Easy enough to use, great looking programme
Cons: Said it found 650 infections, and most importantly, the one I was after getting rid of. Trojan-spy.HTML.smitfraud.c. So i paid $39.95 for the registration and still have a completly slow computer and all the crap I had before, and that is after 5 scans.

"Confusing and ineffective against complex problems"
Pros: Easy to install and uninstall. Firewall features are pretty good, but WinPatrol is better and its free.
Cons: Confusing interface with really inconsistent performance. A lot of falsing and when it did find a true problem, it was unable to remove or clean it automatically. I like the basic approach, but would like to see this product really tested and improved for "prine time."

Summary: This program detects a few hundred false positives in the registry in order to influence people to pay $40 for a program for which there are better (free) alternatives.
