A good standalone uninstallation application can remove traces of programs that other uninstallers leave behind, and that includes the built-in Windows feature. Advanced Uninstaller Pro has a full raft of extras, such as a Cookie Manager, Duplicate File tool, Registry Cleaner and Optimizer, Startup Manager, Fonts tools, and much more.

"All you need in an Uninstaller"

Simple to operate, finds all programs, fairly quick to use
Cons
Even if you remove two programs in one sitting you still have to produce two separate system restore points - takes a long time!

It's called the Advanced Uninstaller Pro. I paid big bucks for an earlier version. Now it's bigger, better and free! The name is misleading; It goes WAY beyond just uninstalling. It has many file tools, registry tools, duplicate file tools, browser controls, start up programs tools, as well as cookie controls and many valuable report formats on your system and computer hardware in general.
Cons
The ONLY con that I can find is that in the "monitored install" feature, you have to close EVERYTHING else for it to work properly; that means IMs, mail clients, literally EVERYTHING. That's real big PIA when you want to do a simple install. I just don't activate that feature so it really has no impact.
Summary
Well worth what you paid for it! LOL Probably the best general utility and clean up app available for free, OR paid, to date. The name is bit misleading,it's a LOT more than just an uninstaller.
One note: Like just about ALL freeware, this is offered FREE because it has PAID sponsors who will offer you to install their trial versions along with UIP. That's how freeware works. In this case, AVG security is the sponsor. It's not a bad security program, but I prefer Norton 360. You do NOT have to accept these offers. Just select Custom install and then DO NOT JUST CLICK NEXT EVERY PAGE! Read the page and OPT OUT (uncheck the box) of anything you don't want. It's that simple and what you need to do with ALL installs of freeware from the Net! Common sense.
