A good standalone uninstallation application can remove traces of programs that other uninstallers leave behind, and that includes the built-in Windows feature. I have a Vista PC that is five years old. I always used windows uninstall and used Glary Utilities (free version) for maintenance. When I tried A U PRO's utilities it found about 500 Mbs of junk.

I don't understand why people are giving this lower reviews because they say they are FORCED to accept AVG programs when installing. I just installed this on my new system (from the company website as I ALWAYS do, not through here), chose the custom installation, and unchecked the AVG options. I opened up all my browsers and searched my computer--no traces of anything AVG on my computer.

This version's ablility to remove associated registry entries and files when uninstalling an application is the #1 improvement.
Anyone who installs and uninstalls a lot of applications can appreciate this. It reduces the build-up of clutter within the registry and your file system and prevents the system from slowing in normal usage.Cons
The application's new interface is a bit cheeky, but what the heck, it works as it should.

I purchased this product many versions ago and have been using it ever since. Or, until this version came out. Innovated Solutions appears to be listening to the needs of application users.

Installation now requires you to install an AVG toolbar with no opt out. During Installation my malware program flagged and blocked 2 files from the AVG toolbar so as it stands i don't trust the publisher of A.U. Pro anymore and will find an alternative that i wont name so people know this review is genuine.
Summary
Forced installs of other programs toolbars etc is a deal killer for me. i'd rather have paid a small amount than be force fed something i have no time or use for. especially with a malware risk

OK, I only tried removing one item so far (Bonjour). Tried deleting folder, normal WIN7 uninstall, and Revo without success. Perhaps there is a way of removing it with the free version of Revo but it wasn't obvious to me. Using this program however, it was a straightforward click-and-gone process.

There may be some cons but for what I needed it to do so far there are none.

- wiped out everything that made Symantec Antivirus run (several failed uninstalls) - what it did was actually make the uninstaller run (if you're familiar with the program, the uninstaller often breaks)
- cleaned out some browser bars the user of the computer had installed
- clean, usable interface, with information that would help users understand what features are forCons
- left parts of Symantec Antivirus (in C:/Program Files/Common Files and C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data) but to its credit, none of those files would make the program run.
- some parts opened in the same window, and others in a new window. It was confusing to determine which tools required the window to be closed and which required the use of a back button.Summary
