This utility offers a one-stop-shop for cleaning and maintaining your computer for better overall system performance. The interface is very simple, featuring only a few buttons, which makes it easy to get down to cleaning immediately (in fact, it automatically runs on start-up) and doesn't confuse you with multiple steps.
The Maintain Windows section focuses on four areas of maintenance: spyware removal, Registry cleaning, a privacy sweep, and deletion of junk files. The Diagnose System button provides system optimization tools, detects spyware, defragments your disk, and scans for hijacked Windows settings. In our tests the scan and clean for each of these areas took less than 10 minutes to complete. In many of these scans, it is difficult to tell what exactly is being accomplished by some of the tools, but we were able to test against other trusted apps, which confirmed Advanced SystemCare's efficacy in those areas.
Under the utilities section you are given several tools, which are similar to plug-ins, for other areas of optimization and diagnostic tests. Overall, Advanced SystemCare Free is a good way to maintain your system's speed and clear out junk files, but you'll need to remember to run it regularly because scheduling of scans is only available in the paid Pro version.

"Not As Good As It Seems To Be"

It does a very good job in doing all the things it can do and I purchased this software as I did like it so much.
Cons
It stopped Internet Explorer 8 from working and I did not know it was this software what was doing this.
I contacted Microsoft Support and they telephoned me at home at It took 3 Hours for him too find out.Summary
I disliked this because it blocked Internet Explorer 8 from working.

scanning well and my pc is running fast

no problems with the actual program just the update part. Keeps telling me that an update is available but won't download... Will have to re-install to get updates

Really helped speed up my computer but had to run scans several times to until it said it was all clear. Program still works but without the update not sure how long before I start having problems. So will have to un-install and re-install very so ofen to get all the updates.

One button dose it very easy to use for all of those people who forget to maintain this is for you. You just push one button HOW HARD IS THAT just do it

It tells you to upgrade to fix the 189 faults it found but wont fix with out upgrading to the pro version. Personally i think its worth it

Takes up a small footprint, does it's job without fanfare, plus it's free. I appreciate the fact, that I do not have to have a $70.00 program, to do what this one does!

I would like to see a little more "umph" to the program, especially about the registry. Otherwise it does it's job admirably, and free does not mean cheap. I wish it would run automatically in the background, but that's what the paid one does.
Summary
I like it very much, and it does acutally more than Norton 360, and quicker! I usually run it every other day. I am very paranoid, as my daughter sunk my hard drive by all the stuff she accumulated.

After a while you get a NAG screen on opening ASC to upgrade or buy...Very annoying and it does not stop. I would expect that with shareware, but ASC states it is FREE>I uninstalled this software.
