Due to its large and versatile feature set, Advanced Searchbar for Windows makes a fine surfing companion to just about all regular Internet users. The program takes a bit longer to install than most toolbars, but once you see how much easier it can make your life, you'll probably forgive this. Similar to other applications of this type, Advanced Searchbar for Windows provides a tool for quickly searching the Web, but its list of supported sites is enormous, ranging from stalwarts such as Yahoo and Google to specialty locations such as FindLaw. This toolbar also features icons for accessing many other sites and applications, including popular media players, IM clients, e-mail programs, Web-based video games, news sites, and antispyware utilities. The ability to add and remove any shortcut you don't regularly use is an excellent touch, as are the built-in file shredder, calculator, and calendar. As you might expect, this toolbar includes a pop-up blocker, which demonstrated decent but not immaculate performance during our tests. We also liked the user-customizable RSS reader and the assorted tools for tidying up your computer. Even though Advanced Searchbar for Windows' utilitarian name might not make you sit up and take notice, its extensive functionality surely will.Publisher's description

Version: Advanced Searchbar 3.36
Pros: Yes,a neat little searchbar but.......
Cons: The fist time I downloaded this program I had no problem and it worked fine. Then came an update. It was fine for a while but later it set off a smitfraud program (a very aggressive one at that)that was only related to this toolbar that was almost impossible to get rid of.This smitfraud program said I was infected with a virus and kept taking me to a site that it said I needed to download a security program to resole this issue.McAfee just sat there and detected nothing so I figured there really was no problem. I had to shut down the computer, restart, and manually remove the program piece by piece. This toolbar is no longer allowed on my computer. It should be noted that I did not download this program thru CNET but through the Advanced Searchbar web page.Anyway,it is still not allowed on my computer.

Version: Advanced Searchbar 3.36
Pros: I especially like the way it is layed out and the color scheme of the bar.
Cons: I wish there were a "Mini" version you could keep
on your desktop while you are working on or off line,
so you could access it more quickly - similar to the mini version of windows media player 11. Just down there waiting for your every need...SPOIL ME ROTTEN DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!

"The ABSOLUTE Greatest Tool On Your Browser!"
Pros: Its everything good. Its got everything you need, you could never run out of stuff to help you find what you need. So many sites to surf, so many other tools, it's just insanely wonderful. I love it more than anything else!
Cons: The ONLY thing I don't like is this: I can only use it with Internet Explorer! I wish it would also be downloaded on my Firefox & Maxthon. that would be just soooo wonderful. Then nothing at all would be amiss!!
Summary: This is just the boss of all toolbars. With this one, you really need NO OTHER. Why would you? When this one has it all?? I mean there's just nothing this toolbar doesn't have. I love it so much. Don't know how I lived without it before. It ... read more >>
