Much more than a simple pop-up blocker, Ad Annihilator scores all aces. The program not only installs as a colorful toolbar in your Web browser, it also lets you access all functions via a right click.
In our tests, the application capably killed all pop-ups, banners, and Flash ads we threw its way, and you can choose to block or allow all three types of ads from particular sites. We appreciate that Ad Annihilator can eliminate many banners or pop-ups at once by using a string or a specific keyword as a cue to block, and the ability to save your customized settings as a project is a nice plus. Once you switch to the advanced mode, you'll uncover a whole new world of functionality, as Ad Annihilator features an enhanced cache that lets you browse offline Web pages.
If you're digging through a long list of offline sites, you can easily find what you're looking for by searching by name, content, and date. We can heartily recommend this program to those who need an ad killer, an offline browser, or both.

"Effective and reliable ad filtering"
Pros: Ad Annihilator is very easy to install and user friendly. The facility which enables to hit any banner and destroy it is excellent and suited to every user who isnot very savvy to technologies employed for Internet advertising. I have also found the ability to bring any destroyed picture back with the equally simple mouse click is very helpful. Having used the product for over a month now it seems to be very reliable and has met all of my requirements. The price is very reasonable too!
Cons: Haven't discovered any so far!

"it's name is rather misleading"
Pros: It blocks all regular banner ads and most all POPUPS as well.
Cons: DOES NOT BLOCK FLASH-BASED ADS AT ALL.
it only works in I.E. not other browsers.

"Didn't block a single pop-up. Worked for banners and cookie though."
Pros: Well, it blocks ads and cookies, including the useful ones, like saved passwords, email, etc. So I guess that kind of a negativity.
Cons: It didn't block a single pop-up, and even though it has the option, it did not let me mark the address as a pop-up.

Cons: The software (malware) either removed or hid the file and navigation toolbars including options on IE7. Only the address bar and the ad annihilator tool bar were visible. It blocks frames on some web sites even if they're news feeds and disables links. Couldn't even login into my web based email account. When I tried to uninstall it, I got a message saying that it couldn't find the install.log file. Tried to delete it from Win Program Files but it wouldn't let me. Install at your own risk!

"great but way too difficult to use!"
Pros: it is a great pop-up/banner blocker...probably "too" good for me......it definitely got rid of an annoying pop-up that nothing else would rid...it actually blocked EVERYTHING
Cons: as an intermediate PC user, it's too difficult for me to use...as it blocks everything, including playlists, myspace photos, etc., i was not able to get any of them back...and now i'm left with a sh*tload of recovery work to do!
