Much more than a simple pop-up blocker, Ad Annihilator scores all aces. The program not only installs as a colorful toolbar in your Web browser, it also lets you access all functions via a right click. In our tests, the application capably killed all pop-ups, banners, and Flash ads we threw its way, and you can choose to block or allow all three types of ads from particular sites. We appreciate that Ad Annihilator can eliminate many banners or pop-ups at once by using a string or a specific keyword as a cue to block, and the ability to save your customized settings as a project is a nice plus. Once you switch to the advanced mode, you'll uncover a whole new world of functionality, as Ad Annihilator features an enhanced cache that lets you browse offline Web pages. If you're digging through a long list of offline sites, you can easily find what you're looking for by searching by name, content, and date. Version: Ad Annihilator 2.3.8
Pros: This IE plug-in empowers Internet Explorer with wonderful capabilities. I used Internet Explorer for years and don't want to stop it but I always wanted something that would leave me with IE capabilities (that I am content with) but add some nice features. I found almost all I wanted in Ad Annihilator: advertisment and popup blocking, offline browsing, improved cache control, good Save Document to disk utility plus cookie blocker. I advice IE users to check it out
Cons: can't think of any con or possible improvement

"Indeed blocks banners and popups"
Pros: A high-quality program. Indeed blocks cookies, banners, and popups. It is no problem to block any banner and popup that I see without need to enter "blocked sites" list like I had a headache with using other software. Before I downloaded this program I had first to find out what address the banner came from (which is not trivial), then to open block site list, cut out site address from banner URL, paste it to the list and reload the page to see if I did everything right. If I didn?t, I had to go over that nerve-racking procedure once again. It was easier not to block banners than to block :-) Now I do this easily: point at the banner and block it, it takes only a couple of seconds and snap! - banner gets annihilated :-)

"Ad Annihilator is worth its five stars"
Pros: what I like in this program, it really stops popups, the list of this stopped popups is easily accessed and reviewed, in addition it's allowed to open blocked windows again without any consequences to sites operation.
Cons: what I don't like is it seems the computer slows down when popups are blocked. Internet Explorer slows even without Ad Annihilator when popups are opened but I would expect that when they are blocked, this should not affect the browser. Overall, however, my impression is very good

"It easily converted my IE into an offline browser"
Pros: Offline browsing capabilities are not as advanced as many other offline browsers boast of. However, it has all I need: browsing offline, page history list, export to disk and search. The zest is it is integrated into Explorer and with other offline browsers I would have to switch between them all the time. This last argument outweighs others for me
Cons: I just hope it'll acquire full-featured offline browser capabilitoies one day...

"More trouble than it's worth."
Cons: Allowed banners although I had it set to block all banners. Having to block banners one at a time was tedious. Ignored other settings as well. I've been using the internet since 1995, and even I couldn't configure it properly.
