ActiveSolid is a fast, compact, and powerful dual mode 3D modeling, 3D dimensioning and view mark-up application and ActiveX plugin. The entire application including its user interface can be embedded within Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. It features an intuitive GUI, import/export plug-in architecture (with import/export plug-ins downloadable from ActiveSolid's home page), unlimited undo/redo, associative 3D linear/angular/radial dimensions, robust Boolean operations on 3D meshes, 2D polygons and voxel models (using linear octrees), 3D text & text mesh, 2D profile generation, polygon offset, local vertex/face editing, optimal solid reconstruction from parallel contours, 3D extrusion along vector or a polyline path, 3D mesh trimming by a plane, view mark-up and inspection tools including interactive cutting planes, as well as an array of other powerful 3D object creation/editing tools. Supported file formats include STL, DXF, Q3BSP, XGL and various 2D bitmap formats.

Version 2.6.5 includes the very first official GA (general availability) version of ActiveSolid for Microsoft Office.
