From ThreeDify Incorporated :ActiveSolid is a fast, compact, and powerful dual mode 3D modeling, 3D dimensioning and view mark-up application and ActiveX plugin. The entire application including its user interface can be embedded within any COM container including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. It features an intuitive GUI, import/export plug-in architecture (with import/export plug-ins downloadable from ActiveSolid's home page), unlimited undo/redo, associative 3D linear/angular/radial dimensions, robust Boolean operations on 3D meshes, 2D polygons and voxel models (using linear octrees), 3D text & text mesh, 2D profile generation, polygon offset, local vertex/face editing, optimal solid reconstruction from parallel contours, 3D extrusion along vector or a polyline path, 3D mesh trimming by a plane, view mark-up and inspection tools including interactive cutting planes (for inspecting internals of an solid object), as well as an array of other powerful 3D object creation/editing tools. Supported file formats include STL, DXF, Q3BSP, XGL and various 2D bitmap formats. Version 2.6.9 adds full support and is a prerequisite for ActiveSolid for Microsoft Office 2.6.9.

"Not to be used by beginners."
Pros: Very usefull for advanced users
Cons: Not easy to manipulate objects if your a beginner. 30 day trial is a bit short. Unless you go through your registry files.
Summary: I do not like nor dislike this program. It just confuses me.

Pros: Install fine for a 30 trial.
Cons: Over 30 days of usage requires registration, and registration requires an attachment of a '.key' file emailed to them through your email system. This is a security problem.
Summary: I don't what is included in the required '.key' file, but almost all fire walls and virus protection software will block a '.key' from being sent over the Internet. This program is an obvious security risk.
