Useful for pre-formatting wipe to speed up drives and bad sector corrections. (A first step before replacing a drive)
Cons
Crashes on Vista x64. Not the full version, but I'm sure its worth the money.
Summary
I had an iPod Viideo that showed up as bad sectors after constant freezing up. Restored the iPod and still froze. Performed a complete wipe one pass and restore of the iPod and it runs like new.

Worked for me and removed vista. Remember you do not boot up with vista you use the cd that you burn. So it doesn't matter what os you have. All that matters is that it is an IBM compatible pc.
Cons
Writes only zero's? Remember that as hd's become higher in capacity the data storage locations become smaller and more difficult to recover. As a test pay someone to recover the data. I have a feeling that you won't find anyone that can.

I "killed" a floppy, which seemed to go ok. (Of course, it's only writing 0's.) Continued...
Cons
...When it finished, I clicked x to close, and it got an illegal operation! Not only that, but it wouldn't quit when I clicked Ok!! Not only that, I had to Push the Button to shut down!!!
Summary
Not too impressed. Keep in mind this was on a freshly-installed W98SE. Maybe later OS's handle it better.

the program asked me to go a site , to down load a prog. for disk and I got stuck , apparently I was a little stuck with access issues???? I couldn't get it to work.
