"Fixed my ntfs.sys error, able to make USB boot up, excellent product!"
Pros: This was the only product I could find after weeks of searching that let me fix my "the ntfs.sys file is missing or corrupted" in system 32 drivers file problem that made my computer unable to get to windows. (for the record, the file wasn't missing) Because of this active boot disk download, I was able to boot up the non-working computer from a jump (flash) drive (usb), look at all the files in my computer, go into dos commands and give the chkdsk command which fixed my problem (microsoft's advice on help was of no use to me). This program has many useful applications. The demo is limited in many of the repair functions (for instance, creating a new master boot file), however just being able to get into DOS is priceless. You have a choice of making a DOS or Windows startup. I made a Windows startup and went to DOS commands from there. I highly highly recommmend this for anyone trying to fix a computer that isn't booting up correctly. (The demo is free, so can't hurt to try!). Saved me a lot of work instead of swapping hard drives! I wish I could afford the paid version. I also want to add that there is a wealth of information on their website (ntfs.com) and I emailed a question to an email address listed under "sales" and received a prompt helpful response. There's also some free downloads on their website. I used their NTFS reader and it worked great. It also had a very comprehensive help manual. It was relatively easy to use (although a newbie would be reading for a bit longer) and I found it much easier and more versatile than BartPE.
Cons: Paid version was too pricey for me, although if I was independently wealthy I would probably buy it. It's a great versatile back up system to have on hand. Would be nice if they had a "pay for solution" option (for instance, instead of paying for the whole program, just pay a certain amount to solve one problems, for example, if you need a master boot record, pay X amount instead of buying whole program. I definitely recommend this program though. Oh it would have been helpful if the manual listed what options were available with just the demo and what options were available with the full paid version. Otherwise, great product!

"Excellent and easy to use.... Just what I needed"
Pros: I've not tested it all yet but what I tried I was very impressed. Very easy to use and get running. No problems making bootable CD's or USB drives. I had an emergency & needed a way to bypass windows to fix a hard drive that would give the blue screen of death even if trying to use windows Recover Consol. Couldnt even access this drive as a secondary. This product had me logged in without allowing windows to touch this drive which triggered the non recoverable errors and caused a full hault of th esystem. Active boot allowed me shell access or a good dos window to repair my drive. I'm excited about this product & what else it can do. It's already paid for itself helping me recover my main business drive I thought was lost. So I'm purchasing it now ... thanks for the great product and great gui interface./ Well put together. George L. NC
Cons: I cant say anything negative about this product yet. I tried 1/2 dozen products and all failed and this was a breeze and great!
