Free isn't enough to turn our heads anymore, but a free, useful, and well-designed code editor gets us every time. The clean, functional interface arranges projects under folder tabs and sheathes the usual weaponry in useful groupings. The internal browser feature and easy switching among error reports and source code make editing a near-WYSIWYG process. The foreign-language encoding, spelling checker, and paste-as-HTML function will make novices swoon with imagined coding prowess.Publisher's description

Version: AceHTML Freeware build 11
"Could be one of the best but..."
Pros: Just select what type of page you want to create and it starts it for you! Loads of features!
Cons: Crash Prone
It crashes at the drop of a feather. No warning - just leaves you hanging for not apparent reason!! I can not realistically "save" after every entry.

"it is a good program for just beginers"

Version: AceHTML Freeware build 11
Pros: Seems to be a very good program to write in script.
Cons: Would like to have a preview option. Also if you added WYSIWYG it would be a great program for less experianced home users.

Version: AceHTML Freeware build 11
Cons: When installing you have no choice, but to install their "toolbar". You also agree to your web usage statistics to be sent to them. If you uninstall the garbage toolbar it will not allow you to use the html editor. This is not freeware. Its garbageware. Avoid.

Version: AceHTML Freeware build 11
"Trojan and Spyware in product (VMN Toolbar)"
Pros: Editor is nice
Cons: Installation attaches spyware ("VMN Toolbar") to your PC. Does NOT uninstall!! No warning, and it's a PAIN to get rid of. CNET labs missed this one BAD. The editor is nice, but not worth having your PC attacked. I went back to HTMLKit, not as nice, but no spyware.
