"great searching and functionality"

Pros
The ability to search many resources at once, the ability to tie running studies together and call up maps, timelines and additional resources as needed. I LOVE the Use Notes and other User developed resources which are not difficult to create.
Cons
I would love it if the creation tools for user tool and notes were HTML. Some aspects of the program work very differently than the usual GUI in other programs, but this is not odd in Mac software. Since I use both Mac and PC, I am used to this,
Summary
For the efficiency and the price, and the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, you really should try Accordance. I also owed a previous version of the popular PC software Logos Library, and they are quite similar in some ways. However, the Accordance customer service and the very excellent features and the responsiveness to user requests really put Accordance over the top!

Intuitive, with the interface smooth, and the ability to handle a lot of resources on the screen at once. Customer support is super. Problem that I caused was patiently worked through with me on Skype! Maybe ahead of Logos/Mac in functionality.
Cons
Still short of Logos in the # of resources. Not much else to not like.

I have used Accordance for almost two years now and have found it to be a tremendous tool for studying the Bible. The company has a strong record of support and an extremely courteous staff. A little pricey, but definitely worth the money.

I've used Accordance for a long time and every version gets better and better. This version is no exception, with the overhauled user interface, a speed increase.
Cons
when I can think of one I will let you know, I know the iphone app is coming so it's getting harder to find a cons.
Summary
This product has some of the best features out there if you really want to dig into the richness of scripture then this is the application for you. Either on a Mac or a PC (with emulation software), this software is worth every penny. The training, online users groups, and users forums all help people to learn how to use it to the fullest.

Easy to use and they have a great range of resources available.
Cons
It does take time to get to know your way around the program, but it is worth it, and it is certainly easier to use than most other programs.
Summary
The ability to have all the commentaries that I could dream of at my fingertips and to compile specific searches across different books is amazing.

"The Ultimate Bible software for all at every level."

Pros
The ability to do Bible study with all the resources you could possible need. It is for personal use or for clergy for preaching and teaching. It is for scholars who work in original languages of for the teacher who only works in English.
Cons
I've been using the products for many years and I haven't found any yet, except I've reduced the size of my actual book library. Version 9 is slightly buggy but it won't be for long because of the excellent support.
Summary
For those fortunate to have Macs, there is no better Bible software out there. And the novice can get started for a very reasonable price. For the scholars, you can spend a much as you can scrape up and not exhaust available resources. After all where else can you have an opportunity to translate the Dead Sea Scrolls for yourself.

"The premier Bible software on the planet"

Pros
Every other bible program I've seen pales in comparison. At a basic level, it's pretty easy to use. But you can do deeper, deeper, deeper--the program that biblical scholars/researchers use. Staggering # of resources available.
Cons
When one gets into Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic/latin etc, the cost of tools mounts up quickly. Cheaper than hard copies though.
Summary
On the Mac the program is flawless and fast. I don't know what the emulation software for PC is like. As one adds more texts and tools, they are so easily accessed that it's easy to have 5-10 windows open at once - surrounded by resources. The original language search and grammatical analysis tools are robust and easy to use. The user notes with it's ability to tag/link to texts being studied makes it easy to create one's own customized commentary for future study. I have used Accordance for 15+ years. Oak Tree Software steadily improves it. Their customer service is outstanding-it really is. It's rare that I rave about something like this, but this is the real deal.

I have been using Accordance since I think version 7. Version 9 just came out and it's speed and usability is really unparalleled.
Cons
Sometimes it is a little limiting in certain denominational distinctives (e.g. Lutheran).
Summary
It is fast, reliable, easy to use, and most importantly, it is focused on studying the Scriptures. That is the point of the software, and I have never seen anything else even come close.

Pros
Great original language support for translating, parsing, and exegeting the original language texts. Super in-depth search capabilities. An extremely large library of commentaries, exegetical tools, dictionaries, and atlas'.
Cons
Accordance does take a while to learn everything it can do, although not so much a con as a testament to how incredible this software is.
Summary
If you're looking for the absolute best in Bible software designed to allow you to search deeper, exegete the original texts, and grow in the word, then this is a must have. If you don't have a Mac, it's worth getting one to use Accordance! (Accordance is availabe to PC's as well).
